GENERALY DATA
AGROSTEMIN ® is produced in accordance with the patent act Nr. 32749
of Yugoslav Federal Patent Office, property of inventor of Agrostemin dr Danica GAJIC.
Having confirmed the quality by the Author, the market was offered the product of standard and proven efficiency,
and the signature of Danica Gajic, PhD, marked on all packages was the proof
that it was of the known origin and certified quality.
Agrostemin is composed of 39 different plant species which are raw and starting material for production. Concerning the chemical analysis of plant nutrient Agrostemin and the active components controlled in the analysis of quality, there are two main groups of allelopathic compounds of plant origin, as follows:
I group - Free amino acids, organic acids and derivatives of organic acids:
tryptophan (C11H12N2O2), glutamic acid (C5H9NO4), orcialanine (C10H13NO4) and other amino acids as well as organic acids and derivatives of organic acids: allantoin acid (C4H8N4O4), cordianine (C4H6N4O3), adenine (C5H5N5) etc.
II group - Inhibitors (in traces):
Derivatives ABA (apcisine acids}, saturated aliphatic carbon hydrogen and cyclic inhibitor (C8H29N3O7)

Physical, chemical and biological characteristics
Agrostemin is produced in the form of gray - white powder, particle size 100% less than 80 microns (98% particles of Agrostemin are up to 20 microns and 2 % up to 80 microns).
Specific volume of Agrostemin is 1.6 l/kg. Moisture is in limits up to 2%, contents of raw ashes are 92-93%. Organoleptic characteristics of Agrostemin are that it is without taste and smell. Since the Agrostemin is the complex of chemical allelopathic compounds, the meltable point can't be defined.
Value of pH solution is in limits of 5.8-6.5 Agrostemin is stable in the environments of pH value of 5.2-7.8. It is thermos table at the temperatures of 4-120°C and on the pressure of 1-3 atmospheres, and it doesn't change its characteristics.
Biological influences of Agrostemin are expressed through the effects of application on plants, as the increase of yield and quality of farming, truck farming and fruit cultures, industrial plants as well as meadows and pastures. Principally, it influences on those plants which are the members of allantoinic species. Agrostemin falls into the group of allelophatins of natural origin which abet plants to more effectually use available resources of encompassment. Optimization of basic vital processes (breathing, assimilation, photosynthesis etc.) in autotrophic and heterotrophic phase own nutrition, results in better growth, development and bearing (number and size of fruit).
In dosages used in practice, it is absolutely safe for the human health (more detailed - "Report on an examination of agrostemin preparation for toxicity").
AGROSTEMIN® is harmless to humans, animals, and the environment (not dangerous for bees);
the application does not require any special safety measures or equipment
Methods of analysis of characteristics
A) Physical methods in analysis are the following:
- Granulometric analysis
- Specific volume defining method
- Moisture defining method (t 135°C, time 90 min)
- Raw ashes defining method to the constant weight ( t 850°C)
- Organoleptic methods
B) Chemical methods in analyses of characteristics are the following:
- Definition of' pH value of the solution
-
Methods of analysis of the temperature influence in interval of 4-120°C on thermo stability, depending on various pressures, through plant biotests
- Methods of chemical structure defining:
- Methods of defining the compounds from the group I:
Tryptophan: Anal. Chem. 35 (3) 389-398, (1963);
Allantoin: L. Biol. Chem. 142, 839-853 (1942);
Allantoin acid: Zimerman A. Naturwissenschaften, 43, 399, (1956);
Other amino acids from the allelopathic compounds of the group I, on basis of fractional chromatography and acidhidrolysis.
- Methods of defining the compounds from the group II - mass spectrophotometry.
C) Methods of analyses of biological characteristics
Biological characteristics of Agrostemin can be defined indirectly, through the actuating effects on plant species, on basis of physiological parameters (germination, germination energy, length of plant, total length of root, variational width, coleoptiles size etc.), biochemical parameters of quality (contents of amino acids, RNK, DNK etc.), and on basis of allelopathic laboratory conditions of cultivation in rigidly controlled conditions.
Aim
AGROSTEMIN® is plant nutrient of wide effect and it is used for increase of yield and quality of products in agriculture (farming, truck farming, fruit growing, industrial plants, meadows and pastures) and forestry.
The increase of yield on the average of 10-15% and the quality of product are primary. Larger contents of proteins in grain +2%, larger percentage of oil at sunflower +4%, larger digestion at sugar beet up to 2%, besides the other parameters these are very important and they are expressed under the effects of AGROSTEMIN®.
AGROSTEMIN® is used for foliar treatment of all cultures or for mixing with seeds. It can be used, without any technologic problem, together with plant protective products, fertilizers and other products.
It has positive effect on general state of health of plants. The plants bear better the negative external factors (drought, frost, high temperature), and also it improves the structure of soil, and enlarge the quantity of easy accessible P2O5 in soil.
Taking into consideration that it is used in relatively small quantities, it has not any residual and doesn't pollute the human environment.

Application of water solution
Preparation:
- the quantity of 1 to 2 liters of water is necessary in order to dissolve 3 glasses ( cca 100g ) of AGROSTEMIN®;
- in the quantity of cold or hot water (up to 60 °C) measured for the preparation of solution, it is necessary to pour the planned quantity of AGROSTEMIN®;
- mix intensively for 5 to 10 minutes (until eventual lumps are dispersed).
Application:
the concentrated solution prepared for treatment of the cultivated area needs to be divided to the total quantity of sprinklers' chargings which is necessary for the com-plete treatment of the respective cultivated area.
- for preparation / finishing of seed for sowing:
Warning: only for farmers with great general experience in application of "wet" technology during preparation / finishing of seed for sowing; provides the best results!
spray equally the respective quantity of seed or, the best would be, if possible, to submerge the seed into concentrated and previously cooled(!) solution;
after 10-20 min. dry the seed up to the point which en-ables undisturbed sowing;
Advice:
- if there is not enough liquid, please add water and mix thoroughly afterwards;
- wetting should be performed immediately before sowing, more exactly, sowing should be performed before germination process starts;
- in order to prevent kneading of the seed during sowing, it is necessary to consider carefully the kind of seed that is included in wetting process.
Spraying of seed
Application:
-
dust the seed of the culture that doesn't allow or that makes impossible to spray/submerge during preparation / finishing of seed for sowing;
-
the seed must be dry before mixing;
-
mix until the powder is equally distributed among the seed;
-
provides the best results.
